Yo! We are Gossip Grows on Trees. Born in the summer of 2009 from friendships forged in Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

Our goal is to create the best songs we can and play them for anyone who will listen. At the end of the day, friends and fans are really all we have.

With every show, with every Tweet and Facebook update, with every acoustic jam performed in the window boxes of shopping malls, we're meeting new people every day. And that's pretty much exactly what we're going for. What unifies us in this mission to create is the possibility of reaching just one person with a song. If you see us after a show, come talk to us. If you see us hanging at a show or on the street, at a bar or a bowling alley, come talk to us. We're here because of you, and without you this wouldn't be fun. Isn't that what being in a band is all about anyway? Isn't that why we do anything we do? To have fun--anyone who tells you otherwise is fibbing. We don't fib.
